Wow Jam Comes to Pasadena, CA this Weekend

This year Wow Jam will be Saturday August 26, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in Pasadena, CA.  It takes place right in front of the City Hall. 100 Garfield Avenue Pasadena, CA 91101.

I have been to Wow Jam twice and it was a great experience. Thinking back on it, I remembered that this is where my daughter first ran. She literally ran before walked.

This year there will be over 12 churches, businesses and community organizations have joined with W.O.W. There are booths set up that provide free haircuts, bike repairs, health and vision screenings, grocery giveaways, makeovers and connections to community resources.

The event ends with a message of Christ's love and an invitation to accept Him as Lord and Savior. There are big pools set up for people to get baptized. There have been 447,275 people saved. Seeing so many people getting baptized by water is
a beautiful thing. Something I will never forget and hope to see again this weekend. Seeing all these people giving up their past to walk into their future is a moment in time, where you can truly see love in the air.

May YHVH bless your coming days!

Why don't many Christians Celebrate The Biblical New Year? ( March 2-3 2017)

Image result for biblical new year

The reason why many Christians don't celebrate the Biblical New Year because it dates back to Roman Emperor Constantine. The first Council of Nicaea 325 a.d., when they created the new man-made Universal Christian Religion, separating themselves from the original Biblical Holy Sacred traditions given to Israel by God YHVH to Moses. As time moves on, the break-offs of the Universal Christian Religion took the traditions and beliefs created by the Universal Christian Religion, also adopting other pagan “holy” days (holidays) into the Universal Christian Religion. Leaving YHVH's Biblical Holy Calendar with symbolic festivals of past and future events, established to teach and remind us of the promises God has kept, leaving the calendar behind.

The Biblical New Year is the start of the first month; Abib (Aviv)/Nisan of the New Year, made sacred and Holy by our Creator and Father, YHVH. This time-keeping calendar was created for Holy festivals helping Israel and those of faithful believers of Yeshua to memorialize symbolic events of past and present, such as Passover, Resurrection Day, Weekly Sabbath and even the second coming of Christ Yeshua’s Feast of Trumpets.

Why is it important? Time is not given to us to waste but for a deeper account of the understanding of Salvation, the New Covenant and the Second Coming of the King. Understand, the HOLY Calendar doesn't just cease, because most of mankind has stopped using it, never used it or even altered it.

Here are some examples of how the calendar works. In the Biblical Calendar, the "Day" starts in the evening (dusk to dusk): I.E. ~ Dusk, Evening, Dawn, Morning, Afternoon, Dusk. When looking at how all the new months start at the sliver of the New Moon, not the absent moon, nor full moon. We get the Weekly Sabbath by the start of the Biblical New Year day, being the first day of the month, then count to the seventh day, then you would be following the Weekly Sabbath.

YHVH plans have and will always be in motion, the Calendar is only a glimpses of “time travel” per say. It’s not a code, but a reminder, not a checklist, but a gauge of things to come. It’s better than Outlook and Google calendars, it’s a yearly reminder that the Almighty God has created for a reminder of HOPE!

May YHVH Bless your coming days!

2017 Goal: Build-up Friendships

www.colministry.com

Can it be as easy as asking someone,"Do you want to be friends?"

In the world of technology today where we use our social media to keep connected, we stop taking out the time to just sit down with each other face to face. We are more concerned about how many likes we have and how we look for other people. We are looking more for the attention than the connection. Spending quality time together and spending time with a friend can leave you feeling renewed and refreshed.

A great friendship is based on trust. It is built on listening to each other and helping each other grow. To have someone to care for you and support you in your time of need. Having a friend that respects you and your feelings, but always willing to tell you the truth.  A true friendship is unconditional. It doesn't change based on physical appearances, financial circumstances or even distance.

A lot of the time we don't make time for one another. We'll say, "We are too busy!" or "I don't have the time.", but at the same time, we make sure that we set aside time to watch our favorite tv show. With being so busy we do have to schedule time with each other. Take the time while you can. Don't wait until its too late and your friend is no longer around.

Our greatest friendship is with God and He is there for us 24/7. Our phone call is an easy prayer said. Our conversations with God come from the heart. He is there like a best friend ready to listen and not ready to judge. We can tell him all the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19) God will listen to all of it. He will help us grow like a best friend does by building up in us the fruits of the Spirit. He builds us in Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self -Control. All of us already have a best friend in God. He is always with us, we should never feel lonely. We always have someone to talk to. He has given us a King Yeshua (Jesus) our savior for us to represent every day. With him as our friend all things are possible.

May God YHVH Bless your coming days!

Lady Pick: 2017 New Calendar Year

Happy 2017 New Calendar Year!

A new year for a new start and a new way. The two most important things to focus on this year is spiritual and physical health.  The first step is to prepare the space around you by clearing out your clutter everywhere, including closets and file cabinets. Have a fresh new start with a new clean house.  It is simple with the three pile plan of what to keep, donate and throw away.  When you are doing this, think about all those who you can Bless.

When people think of the New Year, they usually think of something physical. Spiritual needs should be priority. Take the time to sit and reflect on your successes and failures. What was your fault(s)?  Take responsibility and repent.  Ask for forgiveness and forgive others. Learn how you can do better and start with a new slate. When you do this you can renew. In the renewal you can go to God to do better in all aspects of your life.  A good way to sort things out is by writing them out.  A praise, prayer & worship (PPW)  journal helps you recognize gratitude, which also gives you time with God and to take Bible study notes.

Make this the year of no wasted time. Think about who you want to spend time with and what you want to spend your time doing. The most important is your relationship with God. To build your relationship start in the beginning in Genesis where it all started.  Read 10 verses a day.  Pray before you read for understanding.
