Lady Pick: Do You Have This In Your Neighborhood?

www.littlefreelibrary.org

I discovered this about two years ago in the city of Pasadena, Ca and I fell in love. There is such a sense of community with having a little-shared library. More recently, I was so excited to see one outside of our local Vromans bookstore. I myself love to leave a Bible in our local Little Free Libraries because most of us don't think about reading the Bible as a leisure read. Most people gravitate more to books on a single topic.

Little Free Library is a nonprofit that shares the love of books. The motto is, " Take a book, Leave a book." There are more than 50,000 Little Free Libraries that have popped up around the world. Most of the libraries are located outside for easy access. The Little Free Libraries are made from found or recycled materials.

You can start one in your neighborhood! On the website littlefreelibrary.org you can find the book exchange boxes for purchase with prices ranging from $ 219.00 - $1,254.00. If you are crafty, you can build your own. There is a registration fee of $ 40.00 per library. When you go to the website you can see where the nearest Little Free Library is to you. Please share this information with everyone you know and let us help Little Free Library reach their goal of 100,000 by the end of 2017.
