How To Deal With Fear and Teaching Our Younger Ones

Hello Hearers,

The topic today is fear. There is so much fear going around. You have people walking around in fear of everything and each other. The thrill-seekers looking to feel something that shoots a spark of electricity through their heart because of the fear shooting through their veins.  The news brings it 24 hours a day if you choose to watch it. Engaging in activities that fill you with fear and choosing to watch movies and shows for entertainment on the tube of fear. With drops of it here and there on social media.  With all of this surrounding us, many are asking why am I so anxious and overwhelmed?

I have researched what negative self talk that people are hearing when they are about to start something new. The most common one people hear is, "who do you think you are to do this?"  I hear this too. Then more questions come. When it comes to cooking, is anyone going to like the food? When it comes to art is anyone else going to see my vision? When it comes to writing, is anyone going to read what I have written? It doesn't matter how many people like what you produce, it is about the one heart that you touch, with your gift.

We have to teach our younger ones how to recognize fear and how to cope.  That fear is a feeling in our body to wake us up to help us be in the present and aware of our environment.  Younger ones are watching how to cope and deal with things every day.  Teach them to fly, don't have a fear of flying.

Here are 5 Ways to teach our younger ones to cope with fear.

1. Acknowledge the feeling
2. Praying
3. Deep Breathing
4. Journaling
5. Drawing and/or coloring

2Timothy 1:7 ~ For YAH hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Psalm 56: 3-4 ~ What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. 4 In YAH I will praise his word, in YAH I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

Hebrews: 13:5 ~ Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such thing as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Deuteronomy 31:6 ~ Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for YAH, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

1John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
